How the tag changes on its own

With the phone nearby, the app pushes the faces that change without you touching anything. Faces with live data (weather, headline, tides, quote…) follow the interval you choose, on the hour; daily faces (moon, verse, holidays, chess…) change once a day. The shorter the interval, the more refresh cycles on the tag's coin cell — and the phone's battery is barely touched: the service does no polling and only wakes up on the hour.

The free faces update on their own too, with no activation: Note, Wi-Fi QR, Art, Postcard, Motivation, Fact of the day, Verse of the day, Moon and Alert. The Alert face has a companion page, pingente.app/a/br, that the QR on the tag opens with the full warnings.
